As Above, As Below: A Ceremonial Journey

3 min read
Exploring ceremony, spiritual initiation, ancestral lineage, star family, and guidance through lived experience.

I didn’t seek out ceremony—I waited for Spirit to invite me. When the invitation finally came, it became a journey of remembrance, guidance, and alignment between Earth, stars, and thunder.

A while ago, a stranger reached out and asked me if I had ever been to ceremony.
I told him no—that I had been waiting for Spirit to send the invitation.

He felt the pull and decided to gift me the opportunity.

At first, I carried a lot of nerves. I didn’t know anyone, and I was making the drive to pick up a handful of strangers before heading south together. There was uncertainty, but underneath it, a deeper knowing. So I trusted the journey.

Beforehand, I took time to sit with the experience. I went inward, focusing on my future self and offering her the tools she would need to walk with the medicines. I set my intentions clearly: to see my guides, to embody my higher self, and to meet face to face those I’ve been working with so closely over the past year.

The ceremonies were pure magic—confirming what I already felt and knew to be true. Each one revealed something different, like finally being able to place clear visuals to experiences I live with nearly every day.

In one ceremony, I saw the patterns and designs of my lineage. As they settled, a sprout began to grow. A leaf swept the petals away, revealing a beautiful face in bloom. She swayed gently, moving with the natural rhythm of life.
Was it Mother Nature?
Was it me?
Or was it both of us, moving together as one?

On the drive home, I received a sudden download to speak about star family. I hesitated—the car had been quiet for so long, and I wasn’t sure how to begin the conversation. Then, in the distance, a hovering craft appeared. It floated, shifted, and began flying alongside us—a triangle-shaped ship that traveled with us for several minutes before transforming into what appeared to be a charter plane. More followed after that.

I was overjoyed. The confirmation gave me permission to speak—to name the star family and our shared mission during this time.

When I returned home, I was woken at 5:55 a.m. by booming thunder. My son jumped into my bed, and I leapt up to open the windows, welcoming the medicine in. Without hesitation, I picked up my flute and played in prayer to the Thunder Beings. The lightning and thunder that carried on throughout the morning felt like a sacred blessing—a reminder of protection, power, and presence.

As I sat with everything afterward, clarity settled in. Each of my guides had revealed themselves in their own way:

Mother Earth, in her blooming essence.
Star Family, ever near, waiting for our awareness.
Thunder Beings, standing watch in protection.

Through my education, travels, and lived experience, life has continually guided me back to nature—where I find my deepest healing and connection.

I also spent time as a professional photographer, a practice I now return to as a personal form of expression and joy. Nature has always been a teacher to me. There is profound healing in the natural world; Mother Earth reflects us back to ourselves when we take the time to listen.

My intention is to help guide others back into that relationship—so we may reflect on our own journeys, reconnect with the land, and remember what it means to be in harmony with ourselves and the Earth.
