Why I am here

We are living in fascinating times—where change is unfolding faster than we can keep up with the laundry. The world is shifting, the old ways are unraveling, and new ways of being are emerging. Whether we realize it or not, we are being called to awaken, to remember, and to step into our true power.

One thing I have learned on my own journey through this great transformation is the deep need for connection—to kindred spirits, to wisdom keepers, and to those walking this path alongside us. We are not meant to navigate this alone. The signs are everywhere. The synchronicities, the nudges from Spirit, the moments where reality bends to show us something deeper—these are all part of the unfolding.

But finding the courage to share these experiences is another journey entirely. How do we speak our truth in a world that still clings to illusion? How do we honor the wisdom that moves through us without fear of being misunderstood?

I believe the answer lies in community. In creating spaces where we can explore, question, and grow together. In sharing our stories, our visions, and our medicine. In remembering that we are all walking each other home.

This is what Catori Creates is all about—a sacred space for awakening, for deepening our connection to Spirit, and for embracing the path that is unfolding before us.

So if you have found yourself here, know that it is not by accident. Welcome. You are seen. You are heard. You belong.

Let’s walk this path together.

I am Dakotajean Zimmer, an enrolled tribal member. My culture and spirituality are not just passions of mine—they are who I am.

My studies are rooted in the Arts and Anthropology, and my path has included Cultural Resource Management work as well as cultural sharing through talks and presentations. Through my education, travels, and lived experience, life has continually guided me back to nature—where I find my deepest healing and connection.

I also spent time as a professional photographer, a practice I now return to as a personal form of expression and joy. Nature has always been a teacher to me. There is profound healing in the natural world; Mother Earth reflects us back to ourselves when we take the time to listen.

My intention is to help guide others back into that relationship—so we may reflect on our own journeys, reconnect with the land, and remember what it means to be in harmony with ourselves and the Earth.
